Bikes are in staging. Riders qualified today based on lap times (similar to the GPs) with the top 25 seeded into the main. Marco Dube topped the fastest lap trial today with a 1.05.458 followed by Colton Facciotti with a 1.05.674 and Mitch Cooke with a 1.05.913.

Lockhart holeshot followed by Homans, Benoit, Beaton, Facciotti. Beaton and Facciotti collide in a corner with Facciotti coming out on top.

Facciotti passes Lockhart on lap 2! Beaton is in third and close. Top three are flying and have already gapped Dube and Cooke. Beaton is tripling the rhythm section and making time on Lockhart. Beaton has now passed Lockhart and has his sights on Facciotti who has a 3 second lead already.

Lockhart won't let Beaton get away. Oh, now Dube has found a groove and has come through to pass Lockhart and Beaton in about three corners! Facciotti over Dube by about 3 seconds. Dube bobbled in the rhythm section and let beaton catch a bit. Facciotti has a 4 second lead now.

Cooke has now picked up the pace and has passed Beaton. Facciotti has a 4 second lead and looks strong and comfortable. Cooke in third followed closely by Beaton and Lockhart. Great battle for the last podium spot!

Beaton is down! He and Lockhart came together in a bowl corner and Beaton went down. He's back up and okay. Dube is riding very well and is maintaining the gap with Facciotti.
