SEPTEMBER 29, 2005
It looks like Pierce Chamberlain and KTM Canada have agreed to part ways. As a result, Pierce will not race the Montreal Supercross this weekend and will focus on his upcoming knee surgery and plans to use the winter to rehabilitate his knee and train for the 2006 season.
Chamberlain stormed onto the professional circuit at the age of 16 in 2002 when he finished sixth overall in the 125 East series racing as an Intermediate rider. He followed that performance with a strong third overall in 2003.
In 2004, still riding for Machine Racing, he swept the 125 and 250 Ontario provincial titles, posted some impressive results at the U.S. four-stroke nationals, and qualified in his first attempt at a U.S. National. An unfortunate and troublesome ankle injury suffered at the opening round of the 2004 nationals ruined his chances of bettering his podium performance from 2003.

Pierce signed with KTM Canada and Lockhart’s Odyssey for the 2005 season and came into the series filled with excitement. However, it was a trying season filled with highs and lows. He managed to win the 250 Ontario title for KTM and Lockhart’s but his personal goals at the nationals were once again hampered by injury—this time tearing his ACL shortly before the national series began. Despite the injury, he raced the series and posted his best performance at the last round with a podium in the Walton East/West shootout. The 19-year-old is expected to have surgery in October and early indications point to a full recovery.
Pierce would like to thank everyone who has helped him get to this stage in his career and he is looking forward to 2006 with renewed optimism and outlook. Pierce is actively looking for sponsorship and can be contacted at (905) 659-1329 or pico2430@hotmail.com.
