Photos from the LDRMC Charity race

Two weeks ago the Lakeshore Dirt Riders Motorcycle Club held their annual charity race at Muttco Mountain in Centreton, Ontario, which raised $11,050 for Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. The Lakeshore club is a small, non-profit race club and doesn't attract much press. Fortunately, Gilroy Photography was on hand for the event and shot over 4,000 photos of the race action. Lisa Gilroy was generous enough to send Racer X Canada a few beauties for a race-recap, so enjoy!

Dylan Thompson swept the 50cc A class and finished fifth overall in the 60cc B class at the Muttco Mountain charity race.

Doug Wright traded moto wins with Jimmy Byrne in the Plus 40 class. Wright grabbed the overall with a 1-2, beating Byrne's 3-1.

National pro, Derek Arnold, showed up for the event and kept Ryan Gauld honest in the Dash for Cash race.

Joseph Rose grew up racing the LDRMC races, and each year he is sure to show his face at select events. He finished second to Gauld in Expert and Under 29 motos.

The 2005 Rick Joseph award winner, Kyle Ferguson, finished top five in the Expert and Uner 29 classes.

Mike Ackerman had a great season last year winning the 250 and GP Intermediate provincials, but hasn't been out on the scoot much this year. Ackerman showed he still had speed by leading an Expert moto, but his lack of fitness caught up with him and he dropped back a few spots.

Arguably the most-well known name to attend a Lakeshore race in years, was Machine Racing's Ryan Gauld. On Saturday, Gauld held a riding school in Lakefield, then drove out to the Muttco track on Sunday to give the fans a show. He won motos in Expert, Under 29 and the Dash for Cash race.
