Both Doug DeHaan and Simon Homans started at the back of the pack for the first moto. Canada's 19th in qualifying means that they had terrible gate picks. Homans ended up 25th and DeHaan was 31st.

The race coverage is excellent with a live video feed from MediaZone and live lap scoring from Youth Stream.
Ricky Carmichael had a 20+ second lead throughout most of the race and Tedesco held off a hard charging Sebatien Tortelli to secure first place in the MX2 division. France is currently in second overall followed by Belgium.
