Doug DeHaan - 2nd overall in MX1.
Everything went Doug DeHaan's way at Walton. He had his best ride of the series, #11 on his Yamaha YZ250 got into his groove on the rutted and challenging track, nailed down good starts in both motos and raced in the front all day, going 4 / 3 for second overall. It was a great day for Doug and really good to see all his and the team's hard work pay off in "Double Ds" best finish of the year. DeHaan closed up alot in the points but still finished the season 11th.
Brad Hagseth had an solid weekend, top ten starts, with good battles leading to a 11 / 7 moto score. This gave him a 9th overall for the day. Ending the series 12th, his nagging injuries kept him from his usual top ten result.
First moto, Shane Bess was on it, looking very comfortable on his YZ250, he charged hard through out the moto, producing his best result in the MX1 class with a 2nd place. Unfortunately the second moto did not go nearly as well, as a hard crash while 4th put him last, a half lap behind. Shane actually rode faster lap times this moto and he caught up to 18th, but another crash took him out for the day. Tough luck for Shane as he had the speed to podium like Doug. Bess ended the day 10th overall.
Kyle Beaton had a great start in the first MX2 moto and he was challenging for the lead spots but a deep rut injured his foot on the fifth lap. The pain was too much, forcing Kyle to end the race and his hopes for the day, early. He will be ready for the Montreal Supercross Oct 1st.
