AUGUST 19, 2005

Jake Lee opts for a shiny new tire instead of his lakeside start podium.
After a night full of thunderstorms, lightning and twisted awnings, Walton awoke to a muddy mess of a track. The best efforts of the Walton track crew allowed the first motos of the morning to run, but by around 11 a.m, the rain had started again. Trans Can organizers were forced to call it quits for the day shortly after noon. A revised schedule for Saturday will be posted later today. We are coming to you live from our Heidi's RV haven, listening to more rain and more thunder and the sounds of The Bull broadcasting live from Walton. We'd love to bring you up to the minute results, but... there really aren't any and those that were posted have melted away to nothing on the results board. Here are a few photos of what the Trans Can crew are currently contending with.

Billy Mullen currently leads the GP Intermediate class.
He DNF's this morning's 125 Intermediate mud race.

Matt McGuiness finished second overall in the 125 Intermediate class
and is second in the GP Intermediate class.

The new Machine dream team: Flippy, Keaster and 'Mohawk' Mesley.

Here's how Flippy landed the ride...

Too much of this today...

Maxx Mini's Jamie Stercer finished second to Marty Burr in this morning's Vet Master moto.

Matt Lee scrapes some sludge off the start line.

Even crossing the track was hazardous.
See you at the races...
