--press release--
The Ste. Julie National is absolutely the coolest old school natural terrain track in the series, big undulating hills with off chambers and gulley dips, it really is what true motocross was like in the twin shock days.
Our most "new school" rider Shane Bess on his YZ 250 had a great weekend. He battled in all his qualifiers and motos. Third in his qualifier, then from 19th after the first lap, to tenth at the finish of the first moto. Then displaying his "natural" ability in the second moto, dicing hard with Simon Homans and Evan Laughridge thru out the 35 minutes to get the 5th spot , his best result in MX1 so far. Which worked out very well, securing 5th overall for the day. Way to go Shane.
Doug DeHaan had a solid result in MX1, ending the day with a 9th overall. He went 12 / 9 in the two motos, saying he loved racing his YZ 250 and that the "Bill's Pipes" exhaust and "V-Force" intake make the bike just rip. He still sits in 11th in the series in MX1. DeHaan qualified forth in MX2 and was running forth in the first moto, but a harsh crash thru the ruts, down the big hill ended his day in that class. Doug finished 8th overall in the MX2 East series. He continues to do everything possible to get back on the podium at the last round in Walton.
Kyle Beaton says he is coming to Walton for the MX2 East/West Shoot out, he is ready and really looking forward to racing, it will be great to have him back on the team.
Brad Hagseth had an off weekend, his lingering injuries have kept him from being as prepared as possible. He went 18/13 for 18th overall. He is still 12th in the MX1 series. Hopefully at Walton he can get his "groove" back.
