AUGUST 14, 2005
A huge congratulations to JSR who has now officially clinched his fifth-straight Canadian MX1 title. Dusty Klatt got out front early in the second moto and it was another great Klatt/Roy battle. With the support of the Ste Julie crowd, JSR got by Klatt, who stuck right behind his teammate to finish second. Gavin Gracyk finished a distant third. While JSR's title is now official, the race for second through fifth in the MX1 standings is tight. Keith Johnson now sits second with 286 points while Craig Decker is third with 283 points. Damon Huffman and Gavin Gracyk are tied for fourth place with 281 points each. Rumour has it that JSR might opt out of Walton this year to race the AMA National at Broome Tioga. JSR left with all the official hardware, the #1 trophy and the #1 plate so we may or may not see him next weekend.
