Suzuki's Keith Johnson got the holeshot and ran a strong race holding of teammate Gavin Gracyk and final second place finisher JSR.   JSR had a mediocre start and worked his way into third spot when a good battle started between himself and Gracyk.  The two swapped positions multiple times with JSR eventually moving past Gracyk and setting his sights on Johnson.   But Johnson held on for the win.

"I could hear you guys in the crowd cheering on JSR but it just made me go faster," said Johnson during his podium speech.  "Go ahead and cheer him on in the second moto."

Machine Honda Racing's Jay Burke had a strong moto and held off Decker and Huffman for the longest time until Decker finally passed Burke by jumping over his head down the step down jump.  

MX2 Moto2 is now on the line.  Only two points separating Chisholm and Willard.
