Shane Bess Joins Factory Yamaha

--press release--

Shane Bess of Corona California has joined the Yamaha Canada / Shift factory MX team for the remainder of the CMRC Pro Nationals. Mr. Bess will compete on his # 102, Shift / Enzo / Bill's Pipes / Pirelli / Moto Tassinari equipped Yamaha YZ 250 in the MX1 class alongside his teammate Brad Hagseth. Shane just recently rode for Pacific Yamaha on a YZ250F in the CMRC MX2 West series winning the final moto in Regina and finishing third overall for the day. Had he scored one more point he would have been third overall in the series.  Shane has had a number of top ten finishes in the U.S. Supercrosses, with his best result a 5th. Last year in the Four Stroke National Championships, Shane won the 250 F class and was second, only 3 points off the lead, in the 450 F class, even though he missed the first round. During the winter of 2004/2005, Bess rode for the FBC team in the U.S. Arenacross series, claiming a half dozen podium spots and numerous top fives, before injuries sidelined him. Dave Hind will wrench for Shane. Yamaha Canada is very glad to have Shane on the team for the Nationals and feel he will be a front runner throughout the second half of the 2005 series.

Doug DeHaan will be riding his M2R / Factory Effex / Wiseco / Mongoose Machine modified, Jared Johnsgaard tuned # 11 Yamaha YZ 250 F in the MX2 East series. Doug has shown the speed and conditioning so far in the western rounds of the MX1 class, to be on the podium every time out in MX2. Doug will be a tough competitor and wants to be in the battle for the East championship.

After a nasty crash late in the second moto in Calgary where Brad Hagseth suffered a rib injury and was unable to compete in Regina, Hagseth is looking to make his return at Gopher Dunes. It will be great to see Brad back up to speed on his Cliff Delage prepared, Alpinestars / Renthal / Works Connection / DID / GYT-R / Yamalube / Ready Filters equipped # 9 YZ250.

Kyle Beaton and his mechanic Dan Tosh are waiting for Kyle's thumb injury to heal. He should be back for the Walton East / West Showdown.

For all of the Eastern rounds, Yamaha will have on display, the all new 2006 YZ250F and the TT-R 50. Come and see these fantastic new models at the Yamaha Canada / Shift race trailer.

Thanks to Atlantic Yamaha & Clearbrook Yamaha for their team support.
