JULY 2, 2005
--press release--

Kyle Beaton and Brad Hagseth were both unable to race this weekend in Regina due to injuries. Kyle was practicing in Calgary on Wednesday, fell over in a slow speed turn, caught his thumb on the hard packed dirt and broke it, he will be out of action for 6 weeks. We hope to have him back by the Walton MX2 East / West challenge. Brad showed up in Regina, rode practice and started his Saturday qualifier, showing good speed & competitive lap times. He was forced to pull off due to the pain from his rib injury suffered in the second moto in Calgary. #9 will be back for Gopher Dunes, the first Ontario National in July. Fortunately Doug DeHaan was healthy and good to go.
The Moto Valley track in Regina is fast with elevation changes and huge jumps, an awesome spectator track. After the rains Saturday night and the MX2 class clearing most of the mud off, the MX1 (250) had great conditions. Doug first moto showed his great endurance and determination as he turned his best lap times at the end of the 35 minute moto. Starting the first moto 18th and as usual coming on stronger at the end Doug worked his way thru heated battles to hit the checkers in 8th. #11 had to work for each position and he put on a great show moving forward, almost catching Decker at the finish. Second moto, with a slightly better start, DeHaan again showed his mettle, coming on strong in the last laps of the race to secure a solid 7th. Doug's totally cool jumping style entertaining the spectators during his charge. Overall for the day DeHaan was 7th and continues to sit in seventh in the series.
Doug DeHaan will move to the MX2 class for the CMRC Pro-Nationals East Championship rounds on his Mongoose Machine, Bill's Pipes tuned, Yamaha YZ250F.
