With Dusty Klatt now crowned the MX2 W Champion, the trophy ceremony has signaled a shift in the series. Now officially moving on to the MX2 East there is a whole new crew of talented riders. The first round is a new track for the series and sand is the major element—deep grueling sand. The MX1 class will no doubt see some new podium finishers as the sand specialists lie in wait. And for Dusty Klatt, his new focus is solely hunting down JSR—this year and in the future. It all gets interesting from here.
There has been lots of talk in the pits about Supercross and Arenacross: FIM, CMA, AMA, CMRC. No official word yet but rumour has it that Calgary is about to get their first full on Dirt Wurx private Supercross track.
As the semis pulled out for a two-week break, I could feel a new layer of goose bumps forming. Now I'm off to catch a plane.
