JUNE 20, 2005

Blackfoot Honda's Jean-Sébastien Roy and Dusty Klatt once again took the overall wins in their respective MX1 and MX2 classes in Calgary. It was a tough day for Klatt, who rode hard to earn his 3-2 moto finishes and the overall win. Klatt battled back from mediocre starts in both motos to find the podium twice and stretch his points lead to 32 points over second place Jeff Northrop. He heads to Regina feeling pretty comfortable about defending his title. The MX2 class saw two new moto winners with Ryan Villopoto winning moto one and Suzuki's Jake Weimer taking the win in the second moto. JSR faced a new competitor in Gavin Gracyk this weekend. Gracyk led both MX1 motos, battling with JSR for several laps and trading the lead a few times in each moto. JSR eventually took over the familiar number one spot and rode to 1-1 finishes for his third straight overall of the series. Despite the heavy rain in Calgary in the past few days, the track recovered nicely Sunday aside from developing some deep ruts. The sun was shining by the end of the day and there was actually dust on some sections of the track. That's all for now...sorry, plane to catch. See you in Regina...

This is how the day started...

This is how the day finished...

Gracyk gave Roy a run for his money in both MX1 motos.

Ryan Villopoto won the opening MX2 moto easily.

OTSFF Suzuki's Jake Weimer took his first MX2 moto win of the series.

Dusty's sweet start in the second MX1 moto. He came back to finish fourth.
