Our ad sales star, Dan Stenning, sent in a few of his favourite images from Rounds 1 & 2 of the 2008 Monster Energy Canadian Motocross Nationals. Seems like everyone at RXC, even the ad guys, can shoot a good photo. Heck, we even have Matthes! |

After shocking everyone with his 1-1 sweep at Ste-Julie, following a nasty shoulder injury, Blackfoot's Colton Facciotti had to skip Round 2 at Gopher Dunes to let his shoulder and collarbone heal. He dropped to 7th in the standings and has to make up 37 points to get back into the lead. Check out that relaxed style. |

After an onslaught of fast riders from Ohio in the past few years, Jeff Gibson is holding up the Buckeye State's honour this year. The Cernic's Kawasaki rider is 10th overall after two rounds. |

You're all lying if you predicted that Suzuki OTSFF's Tyler Medaglia would be leading the MX1 standings heading into Morden. Even Tyler's dad, Derrick, joked that he thought his younger son, Jeremy, would be the one leading the championship standings. By the looks of Ryan Gauld, he guessed it right and is trying to collect his winnings from Marc Travers. A big congratulations to Tyler. He's battled through a few difficult injury-filled years and is showing the promise that was apparent back in '03. Nobody can rail corners like Medaglia. Make sure you check out his cover shot in our new issue. |

Cernic's Kawasaki's Dusty Klatt hasn't won an overall yet but he's in second overall, only 12 points away from the series lead. He's very, very fast at all of the Western tracks and he's riding with the speed and confidence that we expect from the three-time champ. The MX1 class will be heating up this weekend in Morden! |

In the MX2 class, Clearbrook Yamaha's Kyle Beaton is the top Canadian, holding down 4th overall. Beaton says that he wants to ride for Team Canada at the 2008 MXoN and will be a shoe-in for the MX2 spot if he can start winning some motos. |

Only one year ago, we had Miami Manitoba's Ryan Millar under our tent, along with Josh Penner, for the Factory Rider for a Day program. He qualified for the national (his first attempt) but has really stepped it up this year. Millar finished 7th overall at Gopher Dunes. Not many Intermediate riders have accomplished that feat. |

Who says 2-strokes are dead? Certainly not Florida's Jacqueline Ross. She swept Gopher Dunes on her KTM144 and leads the Womens nationals. Note the elbows-up style and how tightly she is squeezing the bike with her knees. |

Another Factory Rider for a Day graduate, Jeremy Medaglia, podiumed at the Ste-Julie opener but was not able to replicate his Gopher Dunes results from last year. With the exception of Eric Nye, the MX2 leaders have recorded some erratic results. Jeremy is the second Canadian in the standings right now, in 6th place between Paul Lamb and Aron Harvey. He hasn't raced the western tracks yet but he's shown that he can ride well at any track and his fitness and determination is second to none. |

After a tough year in the 2007 MX2 East series, Nick Evennou found a new home at Leading Edge Kawasaki and is certainly delivering. A second moto DNF at Gopher Dunes proved costly but he's still in 2nd overall, behind Nye. |

Ontario's Kyle Keast put on quite a show at Gopher Dunes in front of his hometown crowd. He battled for the lead in both motos and scored a career-best 2-2. The Machine Racing rider is in 3rd overall in the MX1 class. Way to go Kyle! |

Check out the style on this kid! Our MX1 championship leader. |

Two-time MX2 West champion, Jimmy Nelson, stepped up to the MX1 class this year. He's in 8th overall after two rounds but expect a move up the charts now that he will be back on the familiar tracks of the western swing. |

Brookfield Nova Scotia's Heidi Cooke (1) has some stiff competition this year from Florida's Jacqueline Ross (734). Heidi is a fierce competitor and always fit so expect this battle to heat up. She DNFd the second moto at Gopher Dunes, due to mechanicals, so she has a lot of points to make up. |

KTM's Eric Nye has won three of four motos in the MX2 class and holds a 20-point advantage over Evennou, Maier, Beaton and Lamb. It's a long series this year but Nye's consistency will be tough to beat. |

Leading Edge Kawasaki's Teddy Maier has had some great battles with Jimmy Nelson on the upcoming western tracks. Expect some moto wins from Maier. |

Colton Facciotti charging hard at Ste-Julie on route to a 1-1 sweep. He was very fast at Morden two years ago so hopefully he is 100 percent this weekend and can show his speed. |
