Mother Nature was again front and center for round four of the Motovan MMA Spring Provincial Championship series at Northern Lites raceway in Gimli. |

With top-notch promoters and a hearty group of volunteers the Northern Lites crew did their best to save the race day. Endless work on the track along with setting up a couple of impromptu bike wash stations with an endless water supply were just a couple of examples of the extended efforts of the crew. |

It’s a bird, it’s a plane … it’s Everett Peters! On a day when many chose not to race or dropped to one class, Peters raced three. More astonishingly, he survived all three classes without getting stuck, breaking a bike, tipping over multiple times per moto and many more of the pitfalls that tripped up most of his competitors. Peters went home with first place in MX-2 Junior and a pair of seconds in the Youth B and MX-3 Junior classes. |

The MX-2 Beginner class saw Joris Klassen have a season best third place finish. |
Jamie Devloo ended up on the second step on the box in the MX-1 Intermediate class between winner Lindsay Masse and Darren Bryce-Leger. |

With the smell of burnt clutches heavy in the air, Rio Stoesz took home top honours in the 85cc 12-16 class. |

Renold Sawatsky cruised to victory in the Vet Master class. In the 40+ class, he owned the podium as the only entry! |

Tim Lavoie was possibly the happiest guy in the pits after turning a holeshot into a runaway victory in the Youth class. |
Bev Bryce-Leger took the Ladies class victory at her home track ahead of Charity Schmidt and Jamie Burmey. |
Kane Small made his first appearance of the season in the 85cc 7-11 class. Small took second place behind Jordan Devloo. |

Mike Larter has the distinction of being the only MMA racer whose bike has been in more race reports than its owner after he loaned it out last race. Larter picked up a podium spot with a second place finish in MX-1 Junior action. |

Right from the start of practice, Curtis Barley appeared more prepared than the rest of the ATV Pro class. These suspicions were confirmed with a runaway victory for Barley once the gate dropped. |
It wasn’t easy but Morgan Blaquiere took home second place hardware in the Little Ladies class. |
Continuing his impressive first season in the MX-2 Intermediate class, Josh Pfrimmer picked up his first victory at Gimli. Pfrimmer also pocketed the win in the Supermini class. |

Corey Parent (256) took the win in the MX-2 Pro class aboard his Capitol Motosports backed Honda. |
Josh Bell left Gimli with the victory in the 65cc 10-12 class. |
Josh Penner (68) held off his Transcanada Motorsports teammate Brady Breemersch for the win in the MX-1 Pro class. Look for Breemersch to join the CMRC National series at Gopher Dunes. |

After the Morden National mudfest debacle last season, Keith Lillies produced t-shirts honouring the “Real Men of Motocross” Mike Harms, Matt Hamm, Josh Snider, Davey Fraser, David Ledarney and Jamie Kennedy. Lillies proved himself a real man of motocross on this day, toughing out the conditions to a pair of second place finishes in the Vet Junior and 40+ B classes. |
