The Product: GoPro Helmet Hero Camera

Canadian distributor: www.ryekasport.com

Cost: $199.99 CDN

Track Tested:
The GoPro Hero Helmet Cam earned quite a bit of recognition, as Factory Yamaha’s Josh Hill wore one during his first AMA Supercross win last weekend in Minneapolis. Hill joked in his Monday Conversation on www.racerxill.com that it was his GPS so he knew where everyone was on the track, but the Yamaha team has actually picked GoPro as a sponsor. Check out this link to see more videos of the GoPro camera in action.

Attributes:
The biggest different between the GoPro Helmet Cam and other brands, is how sharp and clear the video is. Watching Hill’s video, it feels like you’re right there, banging bars with Ryan Dungey! The Hero is capable of recording up to 56 minutes of TV quality video with sound, is 3 Megapixels with a CMOS glass lens, has a 16MB internal memory, and doesn’t require any special software or cables.

Each GoPro Hero comes with four adhesive mounts, a strap mount for vented helmets, a strap for your head, one side pivot mount, five 3M adhesive pads, USB cable for direct to TV output, and two batteries.
