Jordan Churcher was four years old when he got his first PW50 from his dad. The youngest of three brothers, Jordan was so excited to be on the bike, he didn’t mind wearing his older brother’s oversized snowmobile helmet to the first few races. Like many beginners, Churcher remembers finishing last (or close to it) at his first race, but he slowly started to improve. In 1999, he won the 50cc 7 to 8 title at the Walton TransCan, and then he dropped off the radar.

The Churcher family took a break from racing, finding the costs of keeping three boys on the track insurmountable. Jordan even played some competitive paintball for a few years, but in 2004, at age 12, he got a Honda 250F and picked up right where he left off. The 2007 season was his best yet. He picked up a third place in the Ontario Provincial Championships in the 125 Junior class. Then he backed that up with a strong week at the TransCan, finishing second in the 125 Junior class with 3-8-3 motos, and sixth in the GP Junior B class. He also nailed five of six holeshots at Walton.

With some Junior class success behind him, Churcher made a successful leap to the Intermediate ranks for the fall series, where he won the 125 Intermediate class. The family also hit a few races in the U.S, where Churcher finished sixth in the 125B class at the Budds Creek supercross, and won a 125 Junior Four Stroke race at Baja Acres.     For 2008, Churcher will race the highly competitive Ontario Provincial Intermediate class, and hopes to try his luck at qualifying at his home national at Gopher Dunes. If that goes well, the Churchers may hit the highway for a few Western Nationals. Keep your eye on the #27 Kawasaki this summer.
