Back in the summer of 2002, a young Kyle Beaton collected the Gaerne Bronze Boot for the top amateur performance at the Western Canadian Amateur Nationals at Temple Hill in Raymond, Alberta. For those who lined the fences at Raymond that year, it was already obvious that Beaton had raw speed and raw talent on a bike. Since then, Beaton has turned pro, and to many, he seems like a veteran on the Canadian National scene, even though he's only 19 years old! His results have been up and down, and they peaked this summer with his first career overall and his first career moto win in Nanaimo, BC. Last weekend, Beaton clinched a pair of Toyota Yamaha Nex-Trax Arenacross Championships in both the Lites and the Open classes. This weekend, Beaton will reach another milestone in his career. After a year of working his way through the AMA points system, Beaton has finally earned his Supercross endorsement. He’ll line up at Anaheim 2 this weekend, for his very first AMA Supercross, crossing another item off his career goal list. Good luck, Kyle, you’ve come a long way.
