JUNE 22, 2007
This weekend’s Factory Rider for a Day, Kyle Murphy, is probably more known for his results in snocross than motocross. The Saskatchewan kid had a relatively late start in MX, but it wasn’t long before he was leading the pack in the flat lands. Murphy scored points in the MX2 West last year and earned himself national #91, which he will run on his Suzuki RM-Z250 this year. After breaking his foot four weeks ago, Murphy was forced to sit out Morden, but he will be on the line this weekend in Regina, representing his province, his sponsors, and the Ignition Racing/ Racer X Canada Factory Rider program. Read below to find out more about one of Saskatchewan’s finest.

Favourite food: Chicken, rice and veggies.
What do you eat/ drink on race day: Three to four liters of water, Vespa, oatmeal with protein powder in it, unsalted mixed nuts, protein bar, fruit (watermelon, bannas, apples).
Favourite track: Nationals—Morden. Saskatchewan Provincials—Regina.
Best road trip story: 2005 Canadian Pro Nationals. Codie Rouse, Brodie Chelsburg and I loaded up my trailer right full and headed out. The nationals this year, it rained the whole trip; it was a mud fest but it was so fun. I got to see and ride new tracks and meet new people on the way.
