The weatherman in Mission is very noncommittal on the eve of the
opening round of the CMRC Nationals. We could expect a little bit
of everything over the race weekend. But the weather reports
haven’t been holding off any of the teams from showing up. All
the big rigs have marked their territory and were busy setting up
today.
The biggest activity today has been track preparation. Chick has
been drinking way too much coffee and spending too much seat time in
the dozer. His heroic efforts are starting to form the Mission
sand into a recognizable track.
Rather than write speculative bench racing ammo we’ve taken the visual
route this time around and uploaded some video from the day. Have
a look. There’s no riding but you’ll get a good look at the ’05
teams and the challenge that Chick was fighting.
