Darcy Lange was at San Diego with his new team, Monster/ Pro Circuit Kawasaki. To say he’s pumped with his new bikes is an understatement. Lange makes his debut next weekend at Atlanta. |

The Red Bull Air Force again made an extravagant entrance during opening ceremonies. |

Tyler Keefe, son of Motorsport Outlet team manager, Bill Keefe and nephew of Troy Lee pulled the holeshot in the first Lites heat race. He made a few mistakes but managed to hold on for the final transfer spot in 8th. |

Josh Grant’s season has certainly not gone the way he, or anyone else could have envisioned. After winning his heat, another crash left him out of the running in the Lites main again. He would only be able to work his way up to 13th after remounting. |

Brady Sheren had the best ride of his career and finally made the Lites main event. The Team Solitaire rider got a great start and ran a good pace to transfer directly to the main from his heat race with a 7th place finish. In the main he could only muster a 21st but with the confidence he gained he’s sure to find his way back to the main event in the near future. |

Star Racing’s Klatt had another consistent race with a second
straight 11th place finish. With the two month break now till the final
round in Seattle, Klatt will start testing for his true specialty, the
outdoors. |

The Ryan Villopoto show rolled into San Diego with a good chance
of clinching the championship a round early. Ryan didn’t disappoint, as
he jumped out to the early lead and never looked back. |

Butler Bros/ DNA Energy Drink’s Doug DeHaan came so close to making his first Supercross main event of the season in San Diego but had to settle for the Racer X Gas Card instead with his third place finish in the LCQ. |

Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit Kawasaki celebrates Mitch Payton’s One Millionth title. Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration but Payton’s riders win a lot. |
Makita Suzuki’s Ivan Tedesco grabbed the 1500 bucks for his holeshot in the Supercross main. |
Sobe/Samsung Honda’s Kevin Windham became the first rider to wear the Leatt Brace on to the podium, which also happened to be his first podium of the year. It’s good to see the old Windham back and racing up at the front. |

Coming into San Diego, it was James Stewart’s race to lose. Unfortunately, he did just that when he clipped a tuff block on the face of the finish line jump and crashed. Stewart remounted but could only make it back up to 5th. |
The rejuvenated Tim Ferry keeps getting stronger every weekend. This time, he capitalized on his teammates crash to move himself up one spot to 2nd place. It’s the third straight podium for the Monster Kawasaki rider. |
Chad Reed never loses faith in himself. He always goes out and gives it a hundred percent and is there to capitalize on Stewart’s mistakes. His win gained him valuable points in the championship chase and he now sits 12 points behind Stewart in the AMA points standings. |
