On a clear, crisp January night in Chilliwack, BC the motocross faithful came out to see what was new for the 2007 motocross season. News spread quickly that Colton Facciotti would be racing on his new Blackfoot Yamaha. In addition, Eric Nye was up from California on his RTR backed KTM, Sting and The Police were rehearsing in North Van, and Ryan Lockhart had made the trip from Nova Scotia to ride his Holeshot Suzuki. The track was a little tamer than it has been in the past but it looked good and made for some tight racing. The bleachers were full by the time the racing started.

The Lites Main: Facciotti pulled the holeshot followed by Nye and Lockhart, who made the move past Nye and put the pressure on Facciotti. Lapped traffic made it interesting and they were within a few seconds at the finish. Nye finished a distant third.

Head-to-head races: Lockhart made an aggressive block pass on Carl Rosk #551 and they both went down. Rosk got up to win the one-lap head-to head qualifier (which put him in the final with Facciotti) as Ryan cruised back to the pits. Facciotti went on to win the $208 bag 'o cash.

RXC’s 2006 Total Devotion Award recipient, Ryan Millar made the trek from Manitoba and raced the 85cc and 250F classes. He's definitely out grown his 80! Millar will soon spend a week at MTF courtesy of Racer X.

Open Main: Nye held up the start while he waited bikeless on the line and was eventually forced to pull out with mechanicals. That left the door open for Lee Coutts to slot into third place in the Open main and win the overall championship since Beaton was absent from the race. Colton led from the start and was never pressured. Ryan stayed comfortably in second. Colton tried to thank his sponsors but admitted that he needed a little more time to memorize Blackfoot’s long list of sponsors!
