Heidi MacDonald sent in this photo update during the break between practice and the main show.
The track was revamped for the pro riders. It is more technical and is proving to be quite challenging. Each rider got “one” practice lap and then "one” timed lap to set the qualifying gate for Saturday night. Defending Champion David Knight had the fastest lap at about 53 seconds until John Dowd pulled a 52 on his one fast lap. One rider from Friday qualified for today’s program on a trials bike that he transported here from Pennsylvania in the trunk of his car. He is a crowd favorite.
Other very fast riders include Destry Abbot, Rich Lafferty and Ryan Hughes.
Marco Dube and Canadian Bobby Prochnau are looking good and are looking forward to the races later tonight.
The event is completely sold out and all the riders are having a great time. The atmosphere is laid back and everyone seems to be having a good time.
