Round 7 in Moncton, New Brunswick saw Dusty Klatt bolster his points lead with another 1-1 sweep. Kyle Chisholm went 2-1 to cement his MX2 lead heading into the final round this weekend at Sand Del Lee. The weekend saw great racing, great weather and a great spectator turnout. Here's a look at what happened in Moncton.

OTSFF Suzuki's Ryan Lockhart had his best weekend of the season and his best overall MX1 finish of his career. Lockhart rode strong in both MX1 motos, even grabbing the holeshot in the second moto and battling with JSR. Lockhart finished fourth overall (actually tied for third with Morgan who had a better second moto finish) in the MX1 class and was awarded the Brian House Memorial Trophy for the top finishing Atlantic rider. Way to go, Newf!

Atlantic fans are awesome. Here they surround the podium as Blair Morgan gives his TV speech for his second-place finish. Morgan was later docked five positions for jumping on a yellow flag. Morgan finished third in the second moto to earn him third overall for the day.

There were a few new faces in the MX1 class in Moncton. Here Kyle Beaton (33) and Mitch Cooke (20) lead the pack in the first MX1 moto.

Colton Facciotti (16) and Andy Mathieu (49) catch some hang time off the spectator triple. Seconds later, things went all wrong, leaving Facciotti with a broken collarbone and two black eyes. Mathieu soldiered on and rode both MX1 motos, finishing 22-17.

Who the heck is Mason Phillips? That was another question folks were asking after the
New Zealander went 8-4 for 5th overall in the MX1 class. Rumour has it that Phillips left with a Richmond Racing 450 practice bike and will race Facciotti's 450 next weekend at SDL.

Klatt found some redemption for his Morden DNF with a pair of moto wins in Montcon. Klatt heads to Sand Del Lee with 345 points to JSR's 336 points.

JSR had to work for his podium finishes this weekend. While he crossed the line in third in the first moto, the Morgan penalty bumped him up to second. Roy picked up another second in the last moto, keeping Klatt in sight. He now trails Klatt by 9 points.

Kyle Chisholm, Ryan Gauld, Michael Willard, Charlie Smith and Craig Dube rocket off the MX2 line.

Maine's Craig Dube turned some heads in Saturday's qualifier while leading Mitch Cooke. Dube went on to finish 5-6 for fourth overall. Dube is racing Sand Del Lee next weekend, too.

Crowd pleaser: It was great to see Mitch Cooke back in action. He picked up a podium in the MX2 class and found himself bumped up to a podium spot in MX1 as well. Cooke went 3-19 in the MX2 class and 3-DNF in the MX1 class.

All Smiles: After a great week at Loretta Lynn's, Kawasaki's Kyle Chisholm had a great weekend in Moncton. After riding a smart first moto, Chisholm got out front in the second moto and took the checkers easily. Chisholm heads to the final round of the MX2 West series with 159 points to Willard's 134.

KTM's Matt Barnes finished 4-3 for third overall and now has a great shot at third overall in the series with 120 points.

While Michael Willard's first moto went according to plan, his second moto did not. Willard fell three times in the second moto, but still battled his way back to a fourth place finish.

See you at the races...
