The battle of the day went to Missy Hackett and Malerie Prochnavy in the Ladies moto. Prochnavy pulled the holeshot with Hackett close behind. For the entire race, the two swapped the lead position until the final lap, when Prochnavy took control of the lead and held on for the win. Jessica Foster finished third.

The second best battle of the day went to BC's Shane Wiebe (15) and Luke Firth (154) in the 125 Intermediate moto. (I had the fortunate luck of watching the moto since I took an early exit after endoing from a kicker. It felt awesome.) Anyways, Wiebe lead every lap with Firth (a native Raymond track racer) within striking distance. However, Wiebe's training with Kyle Beaton paid off and he outlasted the 14-year-old Firth.

The 250 Intermediate class blasts off the Raymond line. Expert woods rider Cory Graffunder (115) won the moto.

Southwestern Ontario rider Kyle Ward shipped his bike out with Cliffshore Racing's hauler, while he and his father Tim flew in for Raymond. It was a wise decision for the Ward's to make the journey--Kyle won the 125 and GP Junior motos.

New Westminister, BC's Spencer Knowles won the 80cc 12 to 16 and Supermini classes.

This kid gives'er! Manitoba's Ryan Millar was on a tear in the 125 Junior class and moved past Ward for the lead. Unfortunately, he ran out of fuel in the final laps and DNFd. At 13-years-old, Millar is already racing a KTM 125 and KTM 250 SX-F.

Pete De Graaf didn't even go out in practice, but that didn't slow down the wiley vet. 50-year-old De Graaf, who scored points at Nanaimo, won the Vet Master and Plus 40 classes.

Kyle Beaton Racing's ... Kyle Beaton set the fastest lap times at Raymond. Beaton won the Youth and Pro Am classes.
