MARCH 2, 2006
- press release -
The Royal Pro Xtreme / Factory Recreation Team rolled into North Bay on a mission: dominate the weekend. After a less than perfect weekend in Valcourt, Quebec, they boys wanted to prove that they could bounce back, and they did just that.
On Saturday, Semi Pro Joey Sagan - still smarting from a hard wreck in last Saturdays Open Mod heats in Valcourt, went out and got a two firsts and two seconds in his four Semi Pro heats. Joey also entered Pro Stock 440, and nailed a heat win, making Sunday's final. Pro Iain Hayden #93 racked up four first place finishes in his Pro Open Mod, and Pro Stock 440 heats.
In Sunday's finals, the black and yellow Royal Ski-Doo Rev's were the class of the field. Joey took home the win in Semi Pro Open in dominating fashion, and gained valuable points in the title chase. In the Semi Pro 440 final, Joey got nudged off course and had a minor wreck. Sheer determination combined with his ultra fast style got Joey back through the pack to solidify a strong fourth place finish and salvage a decent points day. Joey still has a solid lead in the 440 Regional and National points races. Pro Iain Hayden did exactly as expected, and dominated both the Pro Stock 440 final and the Pro Open Mod final. Iain took home both trophies and helped to open up his points lead in both classes.
This weekend we are off to Kirkland Lake, ON, for a CSRA National round. Watch for Iain and catch a glimpse of the awesome new 2007 FXR riding gear that he will be campaigning!
A Huge Thanks to Factory Recreation, Ski-Doo, FXR clothing, Kimpex, CKX helmets, Ipone Lubricants, HMK boots, StudBoy Traction, Spy Eyewear, and TekVest.
