The final round of the 2005-2006 Future West West Coast Arenacross series took place Saturday night at the home of Future West Arenacross: the familiar red barns of the Heritage Center in Chilliwack BC. |

The Kyle Beaton Show rolled into town again on Saturday night as the Clearbrook Yamaha rider swept both mains with ease in his last race appearance before heading south to California to train for the upcoming national season. Kyle will be staying in California with close friend Colton Facciotti and the Wilson family. |

Your 05-06 Pro Class Champions: Showing that consistency is key, Brock Hoyer (left) and Kris Foster are the AX2 and AX Open champions, respectively. Though neither one managed to win a round during the series, they raced every round, something none of the other contenders managed to do. The absence of Colton Facciotti, Ryan Lockhart, Brady Sheren and Kyle Beaton from one or more rounds allowed the two up-and-coming BC riders to clinch their first pro class titles. |

Kris Foster was fast all night and was the only rider other than Kyle Beaton to quad through the rhythm section. Unfortunately, that jump would come back to bite him in the AX2 main as he came up short and landed on his handlebars, causing him to DNF. The crash cost him a shot at the AX2 title but he came back to finish third in the AX open main and wrapped up the open title. |

Local Washington pro Kyle VanDyken capitalized on Kris Foster’s mistake in the AX2 main to land on the podium in third place. The Kawasaki mounted VanDyken has made the trip across the border for all five rounds of the series and finished the series in third place. |

A rare bad start by Beaton in the AX Open main allowed Brock Hoyer to grab the early lead and the Honda rider led the first half of the race before finally succumbing to Beaton’s pressure. Still, Hoyer finished the night with a pair of seconds and a AX2 Championship and has shown some serious improvement over the winter. Watch out for Hoyer this summer as he makes his National debut. |

A Future RC vs. Stewart? Perhaps the best battle of the night occurred in the 50cc 7-8 class. Wyatt Waddell and Jess Pettis battled the entire race with Waddell holding the early lead and Pettis battling up from behind to close the gap. They were separated by less than a bike length going into the last lap before Pettis made this dramatic finish line pass to take the lead. |

Message Board Wars: MXNorth.ca regulars Scott Simpson (Scott54), Jamie Cecchin (Goog759) and Justin Waite (Dubb799) blast off at the start of the 125 Intermediate main. Cecchin would come out on top with the win. |
