This weekend's final round of Arenacross action comes to you from the dark confines of the Arbutus Meadows Equestrian Center in Nanoose Bay, BC, just north of Nanaimo. The tight track would claim its share of casualties by the end of the night, from riders to motors. With only a couple of points separating Darcy Lange and Colton Facciotti in the standings, both riders were looking to come out on top. |

Kawasaki rider Brady Sheren came into the weekend looking to improve on his recent results and came away with a third place finish in the AX2 main event. Unfortunately for young Brady, he was lapped by an on fire Darcy Lange. With one last night of racing remaining, he will be looking to up the pace and battle for the lead like he has proven he can do in the past. |

Jeff Banks came out to put on a freestyle show during the intermission and didn't disappoint the crowd with tricks like this one handed back flip. The trick was made all the more impressive by the run in he was using to reach the ramp; it involved starting outside the building and riding through a door and across the starting gate. |

Injuries were a major factor during Friday night's racing: Kody Hargreaves crashed hard and rang his bell--he was taken to the hospital for observation; Milo Christie (shown here) missed a shift on the approach to the finish line jump and crashed hard. He suffered a broken foot; Broc Hoyer cased the landing of the finish line double and injured his ankle, it is uncertain if he is in for Saturday's action. |

Clearbrook Yamaha's Kyle Beaton was on the gas again on Friday night, finishing with a second in the AX2 main and a third in the AX Open main. In uncharacteristic fashion, he failed to holeshot either final, but was consistent and kept it on two wheels all night. The Yamaha rider will be looking to prevent Darcy Lange from completing another sweep on Saturday night. |

Kaboom!: Colton Facciotti's engine lets go as he charges the whoops in the AX2 main event. With the points battle neck-and-neck coming into the weekend between Facciotti and Lange, the engine failure ended any chance for Colton to claim the title. Luckily Colton had brought his practice bike, and a hurried engine swap got him back on the line for the AX Open main event where he would go on to finish second behind Lange. |

Comrade in Arms: Kyle Beaton comes to his friend's aid and helps disassemble Colton Facciotti's practice bike in preparation for the removal of its engine. It would get chaotic but, with everyone's help, the engine would get swapped and Colton's bike was back running in record time. |

Kris Foster rebounded from a crash in the AX2 qualifier that led to the race being red flagged and came away with a fourth in AX2 and a fifth in AX Open. The young Kawasaki rider was actually not allowed to join in on the restart of the qualifier as the referee enforced a seldom used rule where the rider that caused the red flag is disqualified. This meant that Kris would receive the last gate pick for the main event. |

The Champ is in the House: Darcy Lange dominated the evening's racing in front of his family and friends. The Richmond Kawasaki rider swept both mains and even lapped up to third in the AX2 main event. Colton Facciotti was the only rider to keep him honest but succumbed to an engine failure in the AX2 final and just wasn't able to run with Lange in the AX Open. |
