Okay, we're nearing the start of the first MX2 moto here at Walton for the final round of the Monster Energy MX Nationals, and I think we might just see the best racing yet!
MX2 top-20 qualifying times:
J. Medaglia 2:06.052
Beaton 2:06.198
Maier 2:06.953
Nye 2:07.033
Wilson 2:07.764
Phillips 2:08.192
Lockhart 2:08.334
Benoit 2:08.349
Genereux 2:09.061
Dorivage 2:09.073
Evennou 2:09.170
Fitz-gerald 2:09.349
Maffenbeier 2:09.398
Burke 2:09.495
McGlynn 2:09.577
Hoyer 2:10.417
P. Allison 2:10.494
J. Allison 2:10.899
Rife 2:10.918
Snelgrove 2:11.798
MX2 notes: Loretta's 450 B champ, Dean Wilson, looks fast and smooth in his very first pro national. Can the multi-time Walton TransCan champ win a moto - or two? It's going to be interesting. His dad Andy wishes there was a little less hype though, and I heard that Deano even opted not to pit under the big tent. JM thinks he has his starts figured out and is determined to get his first win. My picks for the moto wins: Beaton and Maier, in that order.
MX1 top-20 qualifying times:

Keast 2:05.158
Morgan 2:05.158
Woods 2:06.045
Nelson 2:06.352
Homans 2:06.722
Burke 2:06.794
Chamberlain 2:06.973
O'Farrell 2:07.036
Eastman 2:07.814
Gibson 2:07.938
Cooke 2:08.035
Mesley 2:08.707
Snider 2:10.830
Wallace 2:12.830
Gainey 2:13.435
MX1 notes: I've heard some people say JSR is going to win a moto and be on the podium. Is riding that two-stroke well (man, that bike sounds sweet!) and is no doubt more than prepared to put it up front. Medaglia is feeling pretty good considering his big get-off last weekend at SDL. Label It's Jason Burke earns the "ironman" award for double-classing it this weekend. My picks: Facciotti clean sweep.
