May 10 & 11, 2008 – BC ANQ Qualifier this weekend!

This weekend the Greater Kamloops Motorcycle Association will host the first BC Amateur National Qualifier at Whispering Pines Raceway of the 2008 season.

Saturday Practice signup opens at 8:30 at a cost of 25.00 per rider. Practice will run from 9:00 until 3:00 pm

Entry fees for Sunday’s race are 30.00 for first class and all payback classes & 25.00 for second class and 50’s.

The tentative Sunday Race Schedule is as follows.

The Walton Amateur Grand National Championships and Canadian Motosport Racing Club (CMRC) have finalized the details in regards to the addition of the Schoolboy class for the 2008 Amateur GNC's held August 12-17, 2008. The new class is a structured stepping stone with the ultimate goal of continuing to produce tomorrow's champions.

Eligibility: Rider who is a minimum 12 years old as of the date of the
event, and 15 years of age as of Jan 1, 2008.

Bike Eligibility: Any motorcycle with a min displacement of 85cc and
maximum displacement of 153cc, and must have a minimum wheel size of 17 inch front and 14 inch rear wheel size.

To get to whispering Pines Raceway from Vancouver take exit 374 (HYW 5N) and turn left at 3rd set of lights (Halston Ave). Drive over Halston Bridge and turn right on Westsyde Rd. Stay on Westsyde Rd. approx 25 km until you see the track!   Camping Permits will be available at the track for 10.00 per vehicle.
